Sandyville
This information pertains to the Sandyville Wireless Broadband Project which is a collaboration between RT21.NET and Jackson County. Both are providing funding to supplement a Community Development Block Grant from the State of WV. Due to requirements of the funding, details of the service (pricing, speed, etc) may differ from what RT21.NET offers elsewhere.

A: Fixed Wireless. The service is delivered using radio frequency (RF) technology. Equipment installed at your home or business communicates with a base station on the tower.
Q: Will I be able to get it?
A: If you can see the County's tower above the Senior Center from your house you will probably be able to. If you can't, you may still be able to with either a secondary small tower site or possibly with "non line of sight" equipment.
Q: Are there data caps or limits?
A: No.
Q: How fast is it?
A: The project adheres to the Federal broadband service level of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload. Other service levels may be available.
Q: Monthly cost?
A: $55/month for 25 Mbps down / 3 Mbps up.
Q: Is there an installation fee or other up-front cost?
A: Not if you are in the area designated by the Jackson County Commission's Community Development Block Grant.
Q: Where is the designated area?
A: The map below shows if you are within the project area (red border) and if you are in an area of optimal wireless signal (green area).
Q: Is there a contract?
A: There's an optional 10 month contract which includes an outside equipment warranty.
Q: Is a wireless router and/or modem needed?
A: A router is required. You can use one you have or buy one from us or elsewhere. There is no modem.
